What is Cold laser therapy?

Cold Laser therapy is a painless treatment that uses low-level light to help the body heal itself. The light goes through the skin and reaches the affected area without causing any harm. It boosts the energy production within cells, helping them work better and heal faster. The therapy also reduces inflammation and pain while increasing blood flow to the area, providing essential nutrients and oxygen for healing. a safe and effective way to treat various conditions in both humans and animals.

Cold laser sessions for dogs

Each session typically lasts between 15 to 60 minutes, depending on your dogs's specific needs.

Each session is 100% tailored to your dog.

Your pet will relax on a comfortable mat while I use a handheld device to apply the laser to specific areas of their body.

The cold laser emits a low-level light that penetrates deep into your pet's tissues, promoting cell regeneration, reducing inflammation, and increasing blood flow to the affected area. This can help alleviate pain, reduce swelling, and speed up the healing process for a variety of conditions, including arthritis, joint pain, muscle strains, and more.

Cold laser sessions for horses

I bring all the necessary equipment to your horse's location and set up in the most suitable area to treat your horse. Equine sessions typically take longer than dogs as they are a larger area to work on, although something like treating a single injury point can take as little as 10-15minutes, most typically an equine session will be 30 to 60 minutes long. Foremostly each session is 100% tailored to your horses specific needs.

How Cold Laser workS

Cold laser therapy has multiple beneficial effects on the body. It reduces inflammation by decreasing the release of inflammatory mediators, including prostaglandins and cytokines, which results in reduced pain and accelerated healing. It also stimulates the release of endorphins, which are the body's natural pain-relieving chemicals, and reduces nerve sensitivity and pain signals, providing further pain relief.

Furthermore, cold laser therapy promotes vasodilation, increasing blood flow to the affected area, which delivers oxygen, nutrients, and immune cells to the site, promoting healing and reducing swelling. Additionally, it enhances cellular energy production, which improves cellular processes such as ATP production, promoting tissue repair, regeneration, and healing. Overall, cold laser therapy is a safe, non-invasive, and effective treatment option for various conditions in both humans and animals, including reducing inflammation, promoting tissue repair, and providing pain relief.

Cold Laser Science

How does cold therapy work?

Cold laser therapy, also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation, is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of light to stimulate the body's natural healing process at the cellular level.

Light penetration: During the treatment, a handheld device emits a low-level laser (cold laser) that penetrates the skin without generating heat, which is why it's referred to as "cold" therapy. The laser light can reach the underlying tissues, targeting the affected area without causing any discomfort or harm to the surrounding tissues.

Photobiomodulation: The laser light is absorbed by chromophores, light-sensitive molecules within the cells, particularly the mitochondria. This absorption triggers a series of biochemical reactions known as photobiomodulation, which is the process of light energy being converted into cellular energy.
